Cricket Ireland have this morning announced their squads for the European Championships which get under way in the Dublin area from July 25-31.

Cricket Ireland have this morning announced their squads for the European Championships which get under way in the Dublin area from July 25-31.

There are two different squads because of the fact that the games against The Netherlands and Scotland are full One Day Internationals.

William Porterfield returns to captain the side, and he will have both Niall O’Brien and Eoin Morgan available to him for those ODI’s. They replace Gary Wilson and Andrew Poynter, who are named in the squad for the games with Denmark, Norway and Italy.

The squads in full are as follows:

For ODI’s with Netherlands and Scotland:

Niall O’Brien (Northamptonshire)

Andrew White (Instonians)

For the games with Italy, Denmark and Norway, Gary Wilson and Andrew Poynter replace Niall O’Brien and Eoin Morgan.

Gary Wilson and Andrew Poynter are named as reserves for the ODi’s while Fintan McAllister and Niall O’Brien are on standby for the other 3 matches.

The Ireland fixtures, and ticket prices are as follows:

July 25: Ireland v Norway, The Hills

July 26: Ireland v Denmark, Leinster

July 28: Ireland v Netherlands, Clontarf

July 29: Ireland v Italy, Malahide

July 31: Ireland v Scotland, Clontarf
