Amir Khan made it 18 fights undefeated after beating veteran Irish boxer Michael Gomez.

The 21-year-old Khan retained his Commonwealth Lightweight title in five rounds in Birmingham last night.

However, the Olympic silver medalist didn't have it all his own way - he came back after being floored by the Manchester-based Irishman early on.
