O'Sullivan takes early control

Red-hot favourite Ronnie O’Sullivan seized the early initiative by winning three of the opening four frames in the 888.com World Championship final with Ali Carter at the Crucible Theatre.

O’Sullivan was tipped to win his third world crown at odds of 1-8 while Carter was rated at 5-1 to lift snooker’s most coveted prize for the first time, 12 years since turning professional.
