Carroll named US manager by Athletics Ireland

Irish 10,000 metre runner Mark Carroll has been named as Athletics Ireland's new US Athlete Manager.

The Rhode Island-based runner will assist Irish athletes who are on scholarship or are training in the US.

The Irish 3,000 and 5,000 metre record holder already trains Gareth Turnbull, Mark Christie and Liam Reale.

US based athletes like Mary Cullen, Roisin McGettigan and Alistair Cragg will all liaise regularly with Carroll in his new part-time role.
