Kelly and Cariss out of Irish team for Edinburgh

Ireland's men's team have suffered two withdrawals ahead of next week's World Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh.

US-based runner Keith Kelly suffered cartilage and medial ligament damage to his knee while training last week.

Chris Cariss, meanwhile, is also out as he has decided to focus his attentions on qualifying for the Olympic marathon.

The withdrawals should not have a large impact, however, as seven members are left in the team, with the top six to score in the team standings.
