Doherty through to China Open second round

Ireland's Ken Doherty is through to round two of the China Open after beating England's Mike Dunn 5-2 in his opening game this morning.

Fergal O'Brien is out of the competition, however, after losing 5-3 to Stephen Maguire.

Elsewhere, defending champion Graeme Dott has been beaten 5-1 by Barry Pinches, while Nigel Bond has lost 5-3 to Stephen Lee.
