Irish captain Ken Egan, John Joe Nevin and Ross Hickey cruised into the quarter finals of the Olympic qualifiers in Pescara, Italy after recording comprehensive wins today.

This morning, Cavan bantamweight Nevin beat Croatian Mirsad Ahmeti 23-8, while Kildare lightweight Hickey had a convincing 21-12 victory over experienced Krsysztof Szot, from Poland.
