No sentiment over Silverstone, warns Ecclestone
Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone has warned that moves to redevelop Silverstone provide no guarantee that the British Grand Prix will continue beyond next year.
The Northamptonshire track, owned by the British Racing Drivers’ Club, only has a contract to stage the race until 2009, and it had been hoped that major planned improvements in facilities would secure a grand prix for the long term.
