Loeb leads in Monte Carlo

Sebastien Loeb sent out an ominous message on the first full day of the season-opening Monte Carlo Rally by establishing a 56-second lead over his nearest rival.

The reigning four-time world champion, seeking a record fifth Monte Carlo victory, began the day with a 12-second lead in his back pocket after an impressive display on the opening two stages yesterday evening.
