Hamilton hopes to avoid F1 politics

Lewis Hamilton is hoping for “a much smoother year” in 2008 and less focus on the politics which dominated his first season in Formula One.

McLaren driver Hamilton became “frustrated” with the well-documented events off the track which often overshadowed his own sterling efforts in finishing runner-up to Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen.
