Duddy to take on Matt Vanda next

John Duddy will bid to take a further step towards a world title fight in 2008 when he meets American Matt Vanda on February 2.

Duddy, roared on by a sell-out crowd at the King’s Hall on Saturday night, claimed the biggest scalp of his career when out-pointing former European middleweight champion Howard Eastman, 96-94 after 10 hard-paced rounds.
