Neptune face DART Killester in SuperLeague quarters

The draw for the quarter-final stages of the SuperLeague Cup was made at the National Basketball Arena this morning.

Neptune, who produced the result of round one by knocking out DCU Saints, will have an equally tough test when they travel away to DART Killester, while reigning champions Abrakebabra Tigers entertain Merry Monk Ballina in the tie of the round.

Limerick Lions play host to UCD/Marian, with UCC Demons and Hoops locking horns at the Mardyke Arena.

The pairings for the semi-finals were also confirmed, with the winners of Game 1 playing the winners of Game 2 and the winners of Game 3 playing the winners of Game 4.

Among the attendance at the draw was Hoops forward Bryce May, who admits they landed tough opposition but is not afraid of the challenge.

“It’s disappointing not to get the home draw but if we are going to win the cup we will have to meet the top teams at some stage,” said May.

“We played Demons in pre-season and only lost by a couple of points so we’ll be going down there confident of creating a stir.”
