Decision due on Athletics Ireland hosting bid

Athletics Ireland will find out today whether it has succeeded in its bid to the host of the European Cross Country Championships in 2009.

Ireland is competing for the event with France and Poland.

The European Athletics Council is due to announce the winner following presentations by all three countries at a conference in Malta today.
