Sixth place for O'Keefe, Cragg fails to qualify

Ireland’s Eileen O’Keefe finished in sixth place in the final of the Women’s hammer at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka today.

The 26-year-old achieved a throw of 70.93m with her first effort but was unable to move any closer to the eventual champion, Germany’s Betty Heidler, who threw 74.76m.

Elsewhere Alistair Cragg failed to qualify for the final of the mens 5000m from his heat this afternoon.
