Hession progresses as O’Rourke fails in Osaka

Paul Hession is through to the semi-finals of the men's 200m at the World Athletics Championship in Osaka.

Hession won his quarter-final this afternoon after finishing third in his heat during the morning session.

Derval O'Rourke's championships are over, however, following her failure to reach the final of the 100m hurdles today.

The World Indoor champion finished eighth and last in her semi-final, a race won by defending world champion Michelle Perry.
