European silver medallist Derval O’Rourke survived soaring temperatures to come through her women‘s 100 metres hurdles heat at the World Championships in Osaka this morning.

The Cork woman finished fourth in a competitive race that was won by defending champion Michelle Perry of the United States in an impressive time of 12.72 seconds.
