Galway sprinter Paul Hession has broken Paul Brizzel's long-standing Irish 200 metres record tonight by finishing fourth at the British Grand Prix in Sheffield.

Galway sprinter Paul Hession has broken Paul Brizzel's long-standing Irish 200 metres record tonight by finishing fourth at the British Grand Prix in Sheffield.

Hession clocked 20.44 seconds to finish as the top European, behind American Rodney Martin (20.39), Jamaica's Usain Bolt (20.08) and race winner Wallace Spearmon of the USA, who also timed 20.08 secs.
