O'Brien calls for patience

Wicketkeeper Niall O’Brien has called on the Irish Cricket Union to be patient with newly-appointed coach Phil Simmons after Ireland’s latest loss.

Simmons, who replaced Adrian Birrell after the World Cup, saw his team continue their recent unimpressive Friends Provident Trophy form, slumping to a nine-wicket defeat by India at Stormont.
