Egan claims third EU boxing gold for Ireland

Irish captain Ken Egan has claimed a third gold medal for Ireland at the EU Championships in the National Stadium on South Circular Road in Dublin this afternoon.

Earlier, Roy Sheehan stopped Xavier Noel of France in the final round of their welterweight final, and Darren Sutherland justified his favourites tag by beating Englishman James Deagle in the Middleweight final.
