MacHale wins Cavan rally to lead Dunlop series

A titanic struggle for supremacy in the Hotel Kilmore Cavan Rally, the fifth round of the Dunlop National Rally Championship, resulted in a dramatic finish as Aaron MacHale (Ford Focus WRC) overturned a seven second deficit to edge out local hero, Patrick Elliott (Subaru WRC) by a single second.

A titanic struggle for supremacy in the Hotel Kilmore Cavan Rally, the fifth round of the Dunlop National Rally Championship, resulted in a dramatic finish as Aaron MacHale (Ford Focus WRC) overturned a seven second deficit to edge out local hero, Patrick Elliott (Subaru WRC) by a single second.

Michael Barrable (Ford Focus WRC) was third.
