The Irish Amateur Boxing Association have named their Cadet team for an upcoming international tournament and training camp in the Ukraine between May 7-13.

Des Fahy, Stephen Fenessey, Tyrone McKenna, Bernie McDonagh, Pat Harkin, and Stephen Ward will all represent their country in the Ukraine under coaches Paul Johnson and Igor Kmil.

The 2007 National U-19 Championships gets underway at the National Stadium in Dublin tomorrow. The weight-in for the tournament will be held between 8am and 10am tomorrow morning and 12 noon and 1pm tomorrow afternoon.

Over ninety boxers have entered this years National U-19 Championships which conclude on May 12 at the National Stadium.

Meanwhile, National senior super heavyweight champion Cathal McMonagle will not compete in the Chemistry Cup Multi Nations in Germany between May 9-13.However, McMonagle, from the Holy Trinity club in Belfast, will box in the Czech Republic Multi Nations between May 15-19.
