Officer denies confirming Woolmer poisoning
The officer investigating the death of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer today said his team has not confirmed he was incapacitated by drugs before being strangled.
Mark Shields, the deputy police commissioner in Jamaica said he has not received the results.
He told the Associated Press in a text message: “We have NOT confirmed anything. Work is ongoing.”
A BBC1 programme said Shields felt it would be difficult to strangle a man of Woolmer’s size.
