India cricket coach quits - reports
India's cricket coach Greg Chappell has stepped down from his post, according to reports.
Times Now and NDTV have claimed the 58-year-old Australian sent an email to Ratnakar Shetty, chief administrative officer for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), in which he cited personal and family reasons for the decision.
Chappell had been under increasing pressure after a disappointing World Cup campaign in the Caribbean which saw India exit at the group stages.
In the email, Chappell reportedly labelled the role of India coach as "most challenging" but said he "tried to meet challenges in a professional way".
He added he was grateful to the players he has worked with and looks forward to continuing contact, wishing Indian cricket ājoy and success in the futureā.
The BCCI, however, have not made any official announcement and still expect Chappell to attend a World Cup review meeting on Friday.
