Mo Farah has abandoned plans to run in the European 10,000 metres challenge in Italy on April 7.

The European 5000m silver medallist and cross country champion suffered a slight thigh strain during Saturday’s IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Kenya and has opted to stay away from the meeting in Ferrara.
