This game saw good strong performances from both teams. DCU had a great start to lead by six points at the end of the first quarter and doubled their lead to 12 points by half time.

UL had a strong third quarter, led by Dearbhla Breen who scored eight points in a row. However, DCU fought back with nine points from Peat and strong defence from Ann Marie Healy to win by five points.
