Harrison cleared to fight
WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has been cleared by the British Boxing Board of Control to defend his title against Nicky Cook next month.
The Scotsman underwent a series of medical tests after being released from a Spanish prison on bail last week following an alleged assault on October 6.
A statement by BBBC general secretary Simon Block said: “Following consideration today of a number of medical reports received, boxer Scott Harrison has been cleared to proceed with his contest against Nicky Cook scheduled for the Excel Arena on Saturday, December 9.”
