Taylor, van Barneveld to meet in CityWest second round

Defending champions Phil 'The Power' Taylor has set up a second-round clash with Raymond van Barneveld at the World Darts Grand Prix in Dublin.

Taylor beat Wes Newton in straight sets at the CityWest Hotel last night, while van Barneveld needed three sets to knock out 2001 winner Alan Warriner-Little.

Elsewhere, all three Irish qualifiers in action last night failed to secure victory, meaning Anto McCracken is the only Irishman left in the last-32.
