McRae to make rally return

Alister McRae is to debut Toyota’s Super 2000 in the final round of the World Rally Championship in Wales.

The former Mitsubishi and Hyundai driver makes a one-off return to the series in December at the final round.

The British-based RED team recently secured the worldwide agent status for Toyota South Africa who have developed the Super 2000.

McRae said: “It’s great to back in the WRC, especially in something as exciting as a new car to Europe.”
