Dáil to examine campaign against racism in sport

The Dáil is to examine a campaign to combat the problem of racism in sport.

The 'Show Racism the Red Card' campaign is to be discussed by a Dáil committee this week.

Government studies show that one in five Irish people have witnessed racist incidents.

Fianna Fáil TD Martin Brady believes there is a danger of someone being killed or seriously injured in a racist attack at a sporting event, and said the campaign aims to prevent this.
