Dutch athlete takes 20km record
Lornah Kiplagat has taken the 20 kilometre record after winning today‘s IAAF World Road-Running Championships in Debrecen.
The Dutch star clocked 63 minutes 21 seconds to cut five seconds off the mark set by England's Paula Radcliffe five years ago.
Kenyan-born Kiplagat fought a dramatic battle with Constantina Tomescu-Dita, of Romania, who finished runner-up in 63mins 23secs with Kenya’s Rita Jeptoo third in 63mins 47secs.
