End of road for Panis

Olivier Panis is to retire from Formula One at the end of the season.

The Panasonic Toyota Racing driver has decided to end his 12-year career in the sport.

Olivier, whose test-driver contract expires at the end of this year, said: “I know it is time for me to move on and fulfil my wish to race again. I am looking forward to new racing challenges outside Formula 1.”
