Ten Irish athletes are in action today at the European Athletics Championship in Gothenburg.

World indoor champion Derval O'Rouke is in action in the heats of the women's 100m hurdles, while David Campbell and Thomas Chamney will be competing in the heats of the men's 800m event.

Elsewhere, Róisín McGettigan and Fionnuala Britton are competing in the semi-finals of the women's 3,000m steeplechase, Ciara Sheehy and Anne Boyle are in action in the heats of the women's 200m and Alistair Cragg takes part in the men's 5,000m semi-final.

Last night, Joanne Cuddihy qualified for tonight's final of the women's 400m event, while Paul Hession reached the semi-finals of the men's 200m event, which also takes place tonight.
