Real reaches 1,500m final

Liam Reale has booked a place in the final of the Men's 1,500 after coming eighth in his heat of the Men's 1,500m at the European Championships in Gothenburg this evening.

He failed to make the automatic qualification places but goes through as fourth fastest loser.

However, the other Irish competitor in the event, James Nolan, has failed to reach the final.

Later, Marie Davenport was forced to pull out during the Women's 10,000m final.
