Wilson thanks support team
Britain’s Justin Wilson praised the work of his pit crew after winning the West Edmonton Mall Grand Prix in Canada for his third victory in the Champ Car World Series.
The RuSPORT driver moved back into second in the series standings, 23 points behind Frenchman Sebastien Bourdais, and also set a new track record of 59.2 seconds.
Wilson said: “I’ve really got to thank my whole crew. They did some fantastic pit stops, and my engineers did a great job with the strategy and also with the car set-up.
“I’m very pleased that we made this one happen and pulled this one off.”
RuSPORT president Jeremy Dale said: “It was a great day, and a great achievement. Justin drove brilliantly all day, the strategy was great, the car was very quick, the pit stops were just outstanding.”
