Olympic boxer Amir Khan will appear in court today charged with dangerous driving.

The 19-year-old faces Bolton Magistrates’ Court in England accused of one count of dangerous driving.

He was arrested last month after an incident on Bradshawgate in his home town of Bolton when a man suffered a broken leg in a road accident.

The alleged crash took place at around 4.45pm on March 2.

Khan appeared at Bolton Magistrates’ Court last month and was released on bail.

The teenage boxing sensation shot to fame at the 2004 Olympics when he scooped a silver medal.

He was only beaten on points in the final by Cuban Mario Kindelan.

The youngster, who was only 17 at the time of the Games, recorded a stunning victory over Korean Jong Sub Baik in less than two minutes.
