37-year-old chef Pauline Curley has won the 24th Women's mini-marathon in Dublin.

The Tullamore woman completed the ten kilometre race in thirty-five minutes and four seconds.

In second and third place were Niamh O'Sullivan from Kerry and Orla O'Mahoney from Raheny in Dublin.

40,000 women took part in the event which is expected to raise millions of euro for charity.

The wheelchair race was run by Dubliner Patrice Dockery.
