Coleraine rower wins Rowing World Cup single sculls
Alan Campbell has secured victory in the single scull event at the Rowing World Cup in Munich.
The Coleraine man came home ahead of the world record holder and the Olympic champion to take first place.
Meanwhile, the Irish men's lightweight four have won silver.
Atlantic challenger Gearoid Towey, Skibbereen's Eugene Coakley, Coleraine native Richard Archibald and Muckross club man Paul Griffin finished second behind eventual winners Germany.
Australia won the bronze.
The Irish heavy four of Cormac Folan, Sean Jacob, Con Collis and Alan Martin finished third in their 'B' final behind winners Italy.
