El Guerrouj retires

Morocco’s double Olympic champion Hicham El Guerrouj has announced his retirement from athletics.

The 1500m world record holder, who won the double of 1500m and 5,000m at the Olympic Games in Athens, also won four world titles at the shorter distance.
