Harrison career in doubt

WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has withdrawn from the defence of his title on Saturday.

The 28-year-old had been due to face Gairy St Claire at the King’s Hall in Belfast this weekend.

The bout had been placed in doubt after Harrison was arrested following an alleged nightclub incident in Balloch, Dunbartonshire on Sunday morning.

Harrison’s team contacted promoters Sports Network today to confirm he was withdrawing from the fight against Guyanan, St Claire, leaving a doubt over his career.
