Alonso targets front row spot

World champion Fernando Alonso believes he can put one hand on the European Grand Prix winner’s trophy if he can overcome his qualifying gremlins today at the Nurburgring.

The Renault driver has yet to finish outside the top two this season, but those points have been hard earned as a result of his failure to claim a front-row start in four attempts.
