Leob leads in Argentina
Citroen’s Sebastien Loeb finished day one of the Rally Argentina with a narrow lead over Subaru’s Petter Solberg.
The Frenchman, who currently leads this year’s World Rally Championship drivers’ table by 11 points, won four of the 10 stages to establish an advantage of 19.8 seconds over Solberg.
Norwegian Solberg is 39.9 seconds clear of third-placed Italian Gian-Luigi Galli in a Mitsubishi.
Peugeot’s Manfred Stohl moved up to fourth place after claiming the final stage of the day while teammate Henning Solberg is in fifth.
Ford’s Marcus Gronholm, currently second in the WRC title race, had been leading after seven stages but fell back to 20th after a series of problems.
