Montagny takes Aguri spot
Ex-Renault tester Franck Montagny has been confirmed as temporary third driver for Formula One new boys Super Aguri.
The Frenchman, released by Renault last season, will act as reserve driver for Super Aguri at Bahrain and Malaysia – as well as providing technical input.
Montagny, expected to leave the team after Malaysia for a drive in Champ Cars, will not take part in Friday practice at either round because Super Aguri will only take their two race cars.
Takuma Sato and Yuji Ide are set to be the team’s race drivers when the Honda-backed team make their debut in Bahrain on March 12.
