Former world record holder Tim Montgomery has been stripped of his American 100 metres record following his two-year drug suspension handed down by the Court of Arbitration.

Former world record holder Tim Montgomery has been stripped of his American 100 metres record following his two-year drug suspension handed down by the Court of Arbitration.

United States Track and Field, the American governing body, took immediate action to annul his mark of 9.78 seconds – a then world record – which Montgomery set when winning the IAAF 2002 Grand Prix final in Paris.
