Olympic rower Matthew Pinsent was left “shocked” and “disturbed” by what he believes were examples of child abuse at a gymnasium in Beijing as China prepares to stage the Games in 2008.

Four-times gold medallist Pinsent, a former member of the International Olympic Association and current member of the British Olympic Association, has conducted a report on China’s preparations for the Games for BBC Radio Five Live.
