High-performance sports centre may be on way

The Minister for Sport John O'Donoghue has responded positively to plans by the Sports Council to develop a new high-performance sports institute.

Minister O'Donoghue said the country “badly needs” such a facility for our top athletes, especially in the run up to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
