McLaren set standard in practice

McLaren dominated when practice for the Chinese Grand Prix got under way in Shanghai today to claim a psychological advantage in the constructors’ championship chase.

Renault lead the standings by two points heading into the last race of the season but it was McLaren who set the standard today, with test driver Pedro de la Rosa topping both sessions.
