Home favourite McCulloch goes out

Last year’s runner-up Ian McCulloch was sent crashing out of the Grand Prix in Preston tonight after defeat at the hands of an in-form John Higgins.

The Preston potter, looking to give the home supporters something to shout about at the Guildhall, was beaten 5-2 by the Wizard of Wishaw.
