Renault chief hoping rivals slip up

Renault are relying on McLaren’s reliability curse to strike again if they are to complete a world championship double, according to technical director Pat Symonds.

They are on the verge of their first world title as a constructor, with Fernando Alonso needing only to finish on the podium in this weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix to seal the crown.
