Belfast Giants land Fleury
Belfast Giants have pulled off arguably the biggest signing in British ice hockey history after four-time National Hockey League All-Star Theo Fleury was given the all-clear to join the Elite League outfit.
The 5ft 6in 37-year-old Canadian, who lifted the Stanley Cup with Calgary Flames in 1989 and won gold in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, has been granted a work permit but will not be available until mid-October due to other commitments.
