Win takes Ireland to fifth-place play-off

England went down to a 2-0 semi-final defeat to reigning European champions Holland in the European Nations Cup in Dublin.

Ireland beat Scotland 3-1 to secure a place in the fifth-place play-off of the European Nations Cup in Dublin, with the winner of that match guaranteed entry to next year’s World Cup qualifier.

Lynsey McVicker, Eimear Cregan and Jenny Burke scored for the hosts, with Sam Judge having put the Scots ahead in the 12th minute.
